Referral Program

Send us a name. We'll send a family to the Village.

Every friend or family member you refer helps us send a critically ill child and their family to Give Kids The World Village for a week they'll never forget — cost-free, worries-free, just pure childhood magic.

On every home sale, we donate a portion of our income to send a wish family to Give Kids The World Village.

Who We Give To

Who is Give Kids The World Village?

Tucked into 89 acres in Central Florida, Give Kids The World Village is a nonprofit "storybook" resort built for one purpose: giving children with critical illnesses — and the families who love them — a week completely free of hospitals, bills, and worry. Since 1986, the Village has welcomed more than 200,000 wish families from all 50 states and dozens of countries.

Founded by hotelier Henri Landwirth after a young girl named Amy passed away before her own wish trip could come together, the Village has become a place where sick kids get to just be kids again — ice cream for breakfast, a nightly carousel, Christmas morning every Thursday. It's earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, putting it in the top 1% of charities nationwide.

A Wish, Kept

Meet Alyssa

One story out of more than 200,000 — a reminder of what a single week at the Village can do.

Wish Trip · 2001

The girl who wished to be a princess

At age three, Alyssa Pietruszka was diagnosed with Wilms' tumor, a rare childhood kidney cancer. After a year of chemotherapy left her too weak to continue treatment, her family was moved into hospice care and told she had only months left. Alyssa's one wish was simple: she wanted to be a real-life Disney princess.

That wish sent her and her parents to Give Kids The World Village, where for one week they traded hospital rooms for ice cream breakfasts, a fairy-tale carousel, and a surprise "Christmas" complete with snow. Partway through the week, something shifted — Alyssa's strength began to return. When she went home, her doctors tried one more round of chemotherapy. For the first time, her body responded, and her tumor began to shrink.

Alyssa is alive today, and has spent years since as a volunteer and spokesperson for the Village that gave her family a week of hope when they needed it most.
